Outdoor kitchen in Sutton

This beautiful garden in Sutton was created by Epoch Garden Design.

“When I walked into this garden for the first time I found just a lawn and a few mature trees. There wasn’t even a patio outside the house and the clients didn’t really spend any time in the garden. The brief required a simple, minimalist design where my clients can entertain their large number of friends and family. An outdoor kitchen was an integral part of the design and my goal was to build different zones with unique, bespoke features. An off-the-shelf aluminium pergola was “dressed” with iroko posts, and LED strips were inserted on them in order to provide enough illumination so they can enjoy the garden in the evening as well at daytime. The Grillo kitchen was a no brainer and the client was able to configure the format of the kitchen on Grillo’s website with my guidance. The garden is now a temple to minimalist aesthetics with a strong Japanese influence and the clients spend more time outside than in the house in the summer!” —Stathis Lazarides
