BBQ Gas Bottles for Grillo Outdoor Kitchens
Congratulations on the purchase of your Grillo outdoor kitchen! If you have not used a gas BBQ before, you may be wondering which type of gas bottle you need to purchase. Due to shipping regulations for gas, unfortunately, Grillo are unable to ship gas bottles. But not to worry! We’ve put together a useful guide to help you get started!
The brand of gas bottle that we are showing below is Supagas, although there are several other brands that can be found in the market at various retailers like Bunnings stores and many fuel service stations etc. It is a good idea to purchase from somewhere that will be able to supply refills for when you’ve finished.
What is the new gas bottle fitting?
The new LCC27 fittings have improved safety features, including an easy-to-use right hand threaded external ACME connection, and a back check valve that must be engaged by having a positive connection to the appliance hose before gas can flow. The LCC27 appliance connection also has a thermal cut-out. When you next exchange your BBQ or outdoor gas appliance LP Gas cylinder, you may receive a cylinder with the new valve.
You won’t need to replace your BBQ or outdoor gas appliance as the new valve, known as the LCC27, will safely and easily connect to the hose on your existing BBQ.
From 1 April 2022, all new BBQs and gas appliances have been sold with new hose fittings (or connections), designed especially for the new LCC27 valve on the cylinders. Both LPG BBQ options from Grillo come with the LCC27 valve.

Supagas SupaSwap Cylinders - 3.7kg and 8.5kg
These two gas cylinders are most commonly used for BBQ’s and these can be swapped for free at your nearest Supaswap branch (pay for the refill only).

Please note: Stock and availability of BBQ gas bottles can vary throughout the year, especially at peak times of the year such as spring and summer. We strongly recommend ordering early to avoid disappointment.
Please note: When choosing a side burner on bottled gas, you will be provided with a T-shape fitting to separate your gas. For safety reasons, do not use two gas bottles in one kitchen. Do not store empty or full spare gas bottles under or near barbeques or appliances (The gas bottle in use can be stored under the barbeque if the gas supply is turned off at the valve/regulator.)
